suddenly seymour

so. tonight was an interesting rehearsal...
jodi, the character of Audrey, was sick in bed tonight and was unable to attend rehearsal. well, lynn came tonight to see blocking and just look at rehearsal and stuff since he is the technical designer and lights and all that fun stuff. anyway, so he had to see blocking, and audrey is kinda a big part, so lucky stage manager me got to play her part for her!! oh man. embarrassing. the saying the lines and going to the right spot part was fine. i can handle that. because i have seen these scenes a million times and i write down all the blocking. so thats fine. in case you didnt know however, Little Shop is a MUSICAL! soooo yeah. i had to sing her parts as well. well, i guess i didnt HAVE to...but she has solos and stuff, and i didnt want to talk the whole thing....so i did that. and that was the embarrassing part. and i mean, i was complimented afterward, and they said it wasnt that bad and they were impressed, but still. you know how people just say things. especially with the self doubt you can have sometimes. and the fact that the songs sounded worse than i can normally sing them because i was just a lot nervous about everyone watching me do this (especially since jodi is amazing).

so yeah. fun stuff that is.

doesnt help i have major talent crush on seymour, who i played opposite of the whole time. but i mean, if anything, him singing suddenly seymour to me, was almost worth it. (besides the whole sounding like an idiot part)
